At Cheltenham College Kuala Lumpur, we are committed to nurturing every student’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being in a warm, inclusive, and culturally aware environment. We believe in empowering young people with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive in an ever-changing global society.

Pastoral Care

Each student belongs to a community led by Mentors who provide daily support, mentoring, and a sense of belonging. Our system is built on regular one-to-one check-ins and structured well-being tracking.

Our Approach:

  • Daily check-ins and weekly reflection meetings to monitor emotional well-being
  • Individual tutoring that focuses on academic progress, personal development, and goal setting
  • Pastoral tracking tools, including emotional wellness surveys and Steer-style profiling
  • Responsive support for transitions, including moving from Prep to Lower College School and settling into a new country

Health Centre

Our purpose-built Health Centre provides a safe, caring space for pupils to access medical and emotional support throughout the school day.

Services include:

  • On-site nurses and first aiders for day-to-day health needs and injuries
  • Access to counsellors and child psychologists who provide confidential emotional support
  • Scheduled 1:1 therapy sessions, family meetings, and small group workshops
  • Bilingual services in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin where needed
  • Well-being drop-in space for pupils needing a moment of calm, connection, or conversation

Dining & Nutrition

Our Cafeteria is a vibrant space where students and staff come together to enjoy nutritious, balanced meals in a shared community setting. The menu is designed with diversity, health, and sustainability in mind.

Features:

  • A rotating menu of Asian and Western cuisine
  • Halal-certified meals, with vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly options
  • Cultural cuisine days celebrating Malaysian and international food traditions
  • Eco-conscious practices, including food waste tracking, composting, and reusable containers
